One Club, Two Courses, Thirty-Six Greens.

When you step up on the first tee of either course, you see a degree of “artistic contouring” that mirrors each property. The “Club” course is 6300 yards long and 165 acres of rolling hills and lush surroundings. The finished product is a reflection of the scenic country that surrounds Abilene. The course ultimately emerged as a par 71 with six lakes, beautiful Buttonwillow Creek and a number of challenging holes. Delight in luxurious fairways unfolding like lush green carpets and large undulating Bent grass greens. Attempt to conquer the West Texas terrain. Dare to defeat our unyielding water hazards. Endeavor to escape demanding bunkers and unforgiving roughs. Each hole employs four separate and strategically located tees that both challenge and reward players of varying skills. With this system, the “Club” course ranges from 4680 to 6345 yards, depending upon the skills of individual players.

Challenging, innovative and gracefully designed, the Abilene Country Club offers 36 holes of world-class golf which are both a breathtaking sight and a challenge to play. The 7018 yard Par 72 “Fairway” Course was ranked by the Dallas Morning News as one of the best Golf Courses in the State of Texas. The “Fairway” course hosted PGA tours from 1979 through 1990. The “Fairway” Course is conveniently located less than 3 miles away and offers a professional golf pro shop to arrange for all your needs.

The game of golf has never before enjoyed its current level of popularity, and through enhancements to our practice facility we now offer the membership the absolute best practice environment. At the “Club” course our practice facility employs several target greens with simulated bunker treatments. Definition is an important component of the game and installing these fake bunkers not only emphasizes the target greens but adds to the enjoyment and value of practice. Through these enhancements, your short-game should improve dramatically. Additionally the practice area at each course supports putting greens, chipping greens and over 50,000 square foot of practice tee for recreating a realistic playing experience.
